Strengthening Connections: Accelerating Asia Ventures Visits Portfolio Startups in Bangladesh 🇧🇩

The Accelerating Asia team recently traveled to Bangladesh for a week of visits, conversations, and collaboration with our incredible portfolio founders. Led by Craig Bristol Dixon (Co-Founder & General Partner) and Osman Ahmed (Venture Partner), the visit was a celebration of growth, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit driving Bangladesh’s thriving startup ecosystem.

Over the course of the trip, Craig and Osman met with several of our portfolio companies — including Inovace Technologies (Tipsoi) (Cohort 11), Aunkur (Cohort 11), WeGro (Cohort 8), PriyoShop (Cohort 2), MedEasy (Cohort 6), and Relaxy (Cohort 10) — engaging with founders, touring facilities, and seeing firsthand the progress these teams are making on the ground.

The trip also brought together our Bangladesh portfolio founders for an impromptu dinner in Dhaka — a night filled with laughter, learning, and inspiration.

Founders from PriyoShop (Cohort 2), Interactive Cares (Cohort 9), Inovace Technologies (Cohort 11), Aunkur (Cohort 11), MedEasy (Cohort 6), and Relaxy (Cohort 10) joined the gathering.

Moments like these remind us why community matters.
✨ Founders dropping everything to come together, even on short notice.
✨ Conversations that go beyond business — sharing wins, challenges, and lessons learned.
✨ The powerful reminder that Accelerating Asia isn’t just an accelerator; it’s a cross-border community that continues to grow stronger each year.

As PriyoShop (Cohort 2) perfectly put it: “Sometimes the best business happens over good food and genuine conversation.”

Driving Innovation at Scale with Inovace Technologies (Tipsoi)

At Inovace Technologies Ltd. (Cohort 11), the energy was palpable. Osman described being “overwhelmed by the scale of what’s happening here — the passion, the drive, and the spark you see on everyone’s face.”

Craig, Accelerating Asia’s first foreign investor at Inovace, joined Osman in exploring the company’s R&D lab, manufacturing setups, and business floor, where they witnessed the team’s relentless pursuit of building world-class IoT products.

As Osman put it, “We didn’t invest in fancy decoration — we invested in people and their determination. And that makes all the difference.”

The visit was filled with energy, inspiration, and a shared vision for scaling local innovation into global impact.

Building Agritech for Impact with Aunkur

The journey continued to Aunkur (Cohort 11), where Osman saw firsthand how the team has evolved from early MVPs to their latest soil testing devices — a testament to their “build, test, improve” ethos.

Mashrur Hossain Shurid, Co-founder & CEO of Aunkur, shared how Accelerating Asia’s support extends far beyond funding: “It’s mentorship, access, and a shared conviction that agritech can transform livelihoods.”

In their discussions, Craig and Mashrur also touched on the broader ecosystem. As Bangladesh transitions from Least Developed Country (LDC) status, the startup ecosystem stands at a pivotal point — filled with opportunities and challenges alike. Venture funds like Accelerating Asia are helping bridge that gap, fostering global collaboration and positioning Bangladesh as a key innovation hub in Asia

Cultivating the Future of Agri-Fintech with WeGro

At WeGro, Craig and Osman saw how agri-fintech innovation is transforming the lives of farmers across Bangladesh. Osman’s visit sparked deep discussions on how WeGro is bridging finance and agriculture — unlocking opportunities for farmers and driving sustainable rural growth.

The WeGro team shared their appreciation for the mentorship and partnership: “His deep expertise in startups, technology, and venture building made the visit truly inspiring as we continue our mission to transform agriculture through finance and innovation.”

A Growing Ecosystem, A Shared Vision

Bangladesh continues to shine as one of the most dynamic startup markets in Asia. With over a dozen active portfolio companies, Accelerating Asia Ventures holds one of the strongest startup portfolios in the country.

Each founder visit and conversation reaffirmed our belief in Bangladesh’s entrepreneurial potential — a place where determination, creativity, and community converge to build the next wave of regional and global leaders.

As Craig summed it up:

“Bangladesh is one of the most exciting ecosystems in Asia right now. Every time we visit, we see how much progress our founders have made — and how much more opportunity there is ahead.”

Accelerating Asia Ventures remains committed to supporting founders in Bangladesh and across Asia — not just through investment, but through mentorship, global networks, and shared growth.

Because when founders win, ecosystems thrive. 🌏🚀
