Job description

The Events Assistant role supports the Accelerating Asia program and marketing teams to implement and oversee event planning, preparation and execution for our flagship accelerator and partner programs. In this role, you’ll focus on making sure our startup and investor events run smoothly from start to finish.

The Event Coordinator role is central to our rapidly growing team that will offer significant opportunities for development as we scale regionally.

This is a remote role for people located in the Singapore time zone (GMT+8).

A great candidate is efficient, organised and is focused on delivering engaging event experiences for speakers and attendees. You enjoy using tech tools to create seamless onboarding, speaker preparation and attendee reminders. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
  • Coordinate events from planning to execution including scheduling, reminders and preparing spreadsheets and event checklists.
  • Manage the virtual events calendar across marketing, program operations, delivery and investor relations.
  • Setup virtual events from marketing, production and delivery.
  • Run and manage event logistics on the day including some out of hours events.
  • Setup event automations for registration, RSVPs and post-event feedback.
  • Create event landing pages and list events across sites.
  • Prepare speaker briefings, liaise with speakers and conduct practice sessions.
  • Act as key point of contact for the Events teams with external partners including speaker briefings, liaising with speakers and conducting practice sessions.
  • Look for ways to improve current systems to organize department work.
  • Work with the marketing team to manage communications and promotional materials for events.

Requirements

1-2 years experience in event coordination or project administration.

  • A strong internet connection
  • A passion for delivering exceptional virtual events that engage both speaker and attendee, preferably via Zoom, Airmeet and Hubilo platforms.
  • A passion for tech stacks to streamline your workflow and proficiency in Zapier, Calendly, Typeform, Eventbrite, Zoom, CMS, Active Campaign or another CRM, and Google Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • An eye for the details, you are detail oriented in everything you do.
  • Ability to build webpages, setup registration forms and setup email campaigns using mailing software.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with Active Campaign and Webflow.
  • An appetite for learning new skills, implementing new ideas and improving processes.
